接続詞とは単語、句、節、文をつなげるために使う言葉です。基本的に自己表現やスペイン語ネイティブとのコミュニケーションに、接続詞はあなたの考えを一つにまとめて伝える接着剤のようなものです。
一般的なスペイン語の接続詞

| como (as, like/のように) | Duerme como un bebé. She sleeps like a baby./彼女は赤ん坊のように眠る。 |
| si (if/かどうか) | No sé si puedo ir. I don't know if I can go./行けるかどうかわからない。 |
| pero (but/しかし) | No puedo ir, pero te llamo mañana. I can't go, but I'll call you tomorrow./ 私は行けないが、明日君に電話します。 |
| porque (because/～ので) | Como porque tengo hambre. I eat because I am hungry./お腹がすいているので食べる。 |
| cuando (when/時) | Voy a la cama cuando estoy cansado. I go to bed when I am tired./疲れている時ベッドへ行く。 |

| sino (but, but rather/ではなくて) | No quiero comida sino una bebida. |
sin embargo | Quiere ir. Sin embargo, su madre no la deja. She wants to go. However, her mom doesn't let her./ 彼女は行きたかった。しかし、彼女の母親は行かせなかった。 |
| por lo tanto (therefore/従って) | Su madre no la deja salir esta noche. Por lo tanto, no va a la fiesta. Her mom won't let her go out tonight. Therefore, she's not going to the party./ 彼女の母親は今夜彼女を外出させたくなかった。従って彼女はパーティーには行かないだろう。 |
