In response to the train accident in Galicia
At Enforex, we express our condolences and solidarity to all those affected by this event.
Last July 24th, the world was shaken by a tragedy that occurred in Galicia: a high-speed train derailed just a few miles from Santiago de Compostela. The accident resulted in 80 fatalities and hundreds of injuries. There are still aspects to investigate, assessments to be made, and data to consult; but everything points to this being the worst accident in Spanish railway history.
At Enforex, we express our condolences and sorrow, as well as our solidarity with all those affected by this event.
All institutions, from the presidency of the government to the monarchy and the various Spanish political groups, have shown their grief, and many of their representatives have traveled to the scene. The displays of solidarity from citizens have been immense.
The Spanish railway network is one of the safest and most reliable in Europe, and now, following this accident, all eyes are on reinforcing safety systems to ensure events like this do not happen again: automated braking systems, programmed alerts, driver experience... we are talking about thousands of people dedicated to the effort, and professionals completely committed, now more than ever, to making our transport networks even safer.
We will achieve this with all institutions, organizations, and elements of our society acting in unison.
