What to see in Spain this autumn

When we mention Spain, you immediately think of sun and beaches... but autumn is just around the corner. Discover Spain in autumn
If we mention Spain to you, you will immediately think of sun, beaches, waves... but right now, autumn is just around the corner. Is the fun over in our country then? Of course not!
Autumn can be an ideal time to stroll through our parks. Imagine walking peacefully through the Retiro in Madrid, or the Ciutadella in Barcelona, with a mild temperature, among the deciduous trees tinged with reddish colors.
This season is also an ideal time for wine tourism. Between mid and late September, the grape harvest takes place, and festivals are organized in many cities dedicated to wine culture. For example, in Logroño, the capital of the famous—and well-known by wine lovers—region of La Rioja.
Although the era of big festivals is spring and summer, in autumn there are also interesting events, which are, of course, less crowded. We have several examples such as FIZ (Zaragoza Independent Music Festival), Monkey Week (Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz), or the bizarre and extravagant Mundo Idiota (Madrid).
Gastronomic culture also has several curious events in autumn. One example is the Saffron Rose Festival in Consuegra (Castilla-La Mancha) dedicated to the coveted spice; or the Rice Harvest Festival in Catarroja (Valencia) where, in addition to different rice recipes in all their versions, ancestral harvesting techniques are shown... and, of course, the Seafood Festival in O Grove (Galicia), where you can try different specialties of the prized fruits of the sea.
Events of every kind and condition are not lacking in autumn in our country. Are some of the ones we've presented making you want to visit us?
