Visit the rainforest
The Braulio Carrillo National Park, whose southern end is located just outside of Coronado, has lush rainforests full of tropical flora and fauna, not to mention natural wonders like waterfalls, volcanoes and more!

Hike and bike
Rent a bike or take a hike up to the Nubes and Cascajal de Coronado areas, a 3- to 5-kilometer route with wonderful sightseeing along the way.

Check out San José
All the big-city attractions - restaurants, shopping, nightlife, sights, museums, etc. - of Costa Rican capital city San José are just a stone's throw away from Coronado. Just hop on the bus - one leaves every half hour - and you'll be there in no time!
